SUMMARY:Cultivating Resilience: A Toolkit for Moving with Change
DESCRIPTION:with Sharon Weil and Megan Bathory-Peeler\nThroughout life we experience a constant flow of change in the environment around us and inside our bodies to which we must adapt. \nChanges occur on a spectrum between the gradual and imperceptible to the sudden and radical. \nChanges may come upon us from outside sources or initiated from within ourselves. \nOur challenges with change are often a response to the speed of change as much as to the change itself. \nOur ability to respond to the constant flow of change is affected by our ability to recognize\, accept\, and move with what is happening in the moment. This is Resilience. \nIt is important for us to cultivate a resilience within ourselves that enables us to adapt\, reorient\, and respond in a healthy way to the many changes we encounter throughout our lifetime. \n\nTransitions\nLoss and Grieving\nInjury or illness\nGrowing and Aging\nSudden or Traumatic events\nChronic Stress\nLiving with Uncertainty\n\nAdept at navigating change\, Sharon Weil and Megan Bathory-Peeler are also expert facilitators of the somatic inquiry practice of Continuum which opens us to the innate fluid intelligence within each of us that dissolves\, re-forms\, heals\, and innovates. \nPresented as a 4-part series of classes\, Sharon and Megan offer tools for cultivating and integrating resilience into our daily life using a variety of awareness explorations including sound\, breath\, wave motion\, and intrinsic movement to build essential skills for living in the 21st century that are accessible to every body. \nJoin us to cultivate resilience for meeting and moving with change – physically\, mentally\, emotionally. We will practice and rehearse resilience skills that strengthen our ability to respond\, shift\, and reorient as we respond to these times of uncertainty\, rapid transitions\, and change. \nWe will meet twice in September to learn new skills together\, then integrate these skills into our daily lives over the month of October before meeting twice more in November to share nuances and add another set of skills to our tool kits. Registration for the whole series is strongly encouraged. Sessions will be recorded so if you need to miss a class\, you will still have access to all the tools. \nMeet your resilient facilitators:\n \nSharon Weil\, RSME\, is an author\, podcast host and 30 year Continuum teacher\, specializing in exploring how we effectively navigate change and cultivate resilient bodies and lives. She developed The Ageless Body® as a way to maintain fluid strength at any age\, and taught Continuum Playground (formerly Jungle Gym) for many years. Her books\, ChangeAbility: How Artists\, Activists and Awakeners Navigate Change\, ChangeAbility Playbook and her podcast\, Passing 4 Normal\, engage changemakers about the nature of change and how to best navigate its waves. \nClick Here to read Sharon’s blog to learn about how her Continuum practice has allowed her to meet personal challenges and cultivated resilience in her life. \n \nMegan Bathory-Peeler is an expert somanaut\, fully engaged by the moving inquiry of what it takes to thrive in a human body and within the human experience in the 21st century. Her unique Somanautiko approach synergistically weaves together three decades of professional interdisciplinary study and practice as a teacher of Continuum\, Registered Somatic Educator/Therapist\, bodyworker\, choreographer\, performance artist\, activist\, and mother. Megan’s greatest pleasure comes from co-creating safe spaces that allow people of all ages to return home to themselves\, reclaim the power of their own creativity\, and find ease in the innate wisdom of their bodies. \nCultivating Resilience: A Toolkit for Moving with Change\nSeptember 19 & 26\, November 7 & 14\, 2026 • Online via Zoom \n10:00am-1:00pm PT/1:00-4:00pm ET/19:00-22:00 CET • Find your local time HERE \nCost: $225 USD for 4 part series. SUMMARY:Liquid Resilience 2026 ~ Weekly Online Classes
DESCRIPTION:Open the door this year to the body’s inherent wisdom through the moving mindfulness practice of Continuum. These weekly explorations will creatively awaken the physiology of the body with active\, fluid body workouts in balance with restorative\, expansive explorations asking: What is support? What is strength? What is resilience? \nAs the world around us continues to be in constant flux\, reclaiming our own truth\, trusting our own inner wisdom and honing our listening skills has never been more important. \n\nWhat would our lives be like if joy and pleasure motivated us instead of fear?\nWhat if we embraced all movement as the medicine that brings us health and vitality?\nWhat would it be like to experience stillness from deep inner and outer acceptance instead of being immobilized by fear\, anxiety\, and overwhelm?\n\nContinuum reminds us how to slow down\, quiet our minds and open our hearts. As we slow down to the speed of water\, our tissues hydrate themselves\, becoming less dense (more spacious). We attune to the subtle movement responses of our body’s tissues and fluid systems. This helps us relocate ourselves in our bodies\, separate from the sensory overload of modern culture\, and drop into our place in the interconnected web of life. Liquid Resilience is all about restoring our relationships with all that is. \nThese weekly offerings are guided by Megan Bathory-Peeler\, an expert somanaut – a true explorer of the body. Think of carving out this 2-hour block of time as a personal retreat in a shared pool of communal rest\, reflection\, acceptance\, discovery\, and inspiration. \nLIQUID RESILIENCE: CONTINUUM MOVING MEDITATIONS \nJOIN US ANYTIME! Classes start January 9\, 2026 and will meet ongoingly throughout the year… please check calendar regularly for exceptions. \nFRIDAYS 8:30-10:30 am ET/2:30-4:30 CET \nUSE THIS ZOOM LINK EVERY WEEK: \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/87926524930 \nMeeting ID: 879 2652 4930 \n_______________________________________________________ \nHOW DO I REGISTER? ASK A QUESTION? \nContact Megan \nemail: megan@somanautiko.com \nphone/text/WhatsApp: 413-772-0078 \nCost: $25 USD for each 2 hour class \nWhat if my resources are limited? Please do not let personal circumstances prevent you from attending. Those who can offer more will help those who can offer less. Please contact Megan to arrange a rate that is affordable for you. \nPayments can be made weekly or monthly via: \n\nCHECK mailed to Megan: Somanautiko • 16 Federal Street Suite 1 • Greenfield\, MA 01301\nDIGITAL TRANSFER (within U.S.) Venmo (@meganbathory-peeler) or Zelle – Megan Bathory-Peeler\nWISE (Outside U.S.) – Name: Megan Bathory-Peeler IBAN: BE33 9055 3817 9346 Swift/BIC: TRWIBEB1XXX\nWise\, Rue du Trône 100\, 3rd floor\, Brussels\, 1050\, Belgium —\n\n\n_______________________________________________________ \nNEW TO CONTINUUM? Beginning explorers are always welcome. In fact\, a Beginner’s Mind strongly encouraged in all our explorations… \nWhat is Continuum Somanautiko? Continuum is a practice that cultivates dynamic awareness throughout the body. Beginning with simple breaths and vocalized sounds\, these vibrations invoke subtle and spontaneous movements within the body. As these intrinsic movements emerge\, they spark creative sensory imagery and increase fluid responsiveness in our embodied minds. Within the first few breaths\, we recover and restore sensation and awareness that has been flattened and lost by the speed of modern life. This immediately increases our vitality\, adaptability\, and immunity — making us more resilient. \nSlowing down to the speed of water\, our tissues hydrate themselves\, becoming less dense and more spacious. Continuum helps us relocate ourselves\, separate from the sensory overload of technology-driven culture\, and drop into our place in the interconnected web of life on earth. It then becomes possible to explore the edges between the known and the unknown in Continuum’s essential inquiry — what is a body? \nContinuum develops the non-judgmental witness\, allowing to us to be fully present to our own process\, without expectations of outcome. This enhances our ability to rest into what is\, to be in the Here and Now. By reconnecting to what is most alive in each of us with more empathy and compassion for ourselves\, it becomes easier to perceive the same in others and offer these gifts out to human and non-human beings around us. Continuum is a practice that deepens our trust in our own inherent wisdom and the interdependence of all things —skills and awareness that are critically needed in this time of ongoing pandemic recovery and climate-driven adaptability. \n\nI strongly urge you to softly allow the flow of your day to allow you to arrive with enough time to set up and be settling in at 8:30 am ET/2:30 pm CET\nPrepare a clean and cleared floor space with a blanket\, any cushions\, a chair and anything else you need to be comfortable and fully present.\nHydration is essential. Everyone is encouraged to drink 2 cups of water before the start of class. Have a full water bottle nearby.\nBring a notebook to write in every week.\nWe will often use balls in class. Having a tennis ball and a 9-inch soft ball is strongly encouraged. There are many versions of these “Pilates” balls on the market and any will work. Here’s a link to the ball made by Sissel that I like best: 9″ BALL\nBring your curiosity and an open mind\, and you’ll have everything you need!
