Pre- and Perinatal, Birth and Attachment Therapy is an approach to healing early developmental distress, trauma, and unresolved shock imprints held in the physical body. This can be experienced in individual sessions or in small group formats, called Womb Surrounds or Birth Process workshops.
This work seeks to help people of all ages learn to identify, resolve, and repair distressing early life experiences that remain stuck in the mental and emotional bodies, limiting our ability to live with confidence and ease.
The particular attunement and awareness skills that this early developmental healing work cultivates are woven deeply into Somanautiko’s unique way of creating and holding space for people of all ages and stages of life in their therapeutic processes.
I am a graduate of Myrna Martin‘s three year professional training that involved intensive study of attachment theory, an integration of energetic, somatic, physiologic and psychotherapeutic principles, along with tools from the practices of Somatic Experiencing and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
Myrna’s Pre- and Perinatal, Birth and Attachment Therapy approach was developed by Dr. Ray Castellino, inspired by the life work of Dr. William Emerson. These links will open in new tabs.
