Dive into the sea of your potential.
The Chambered Nautilus is a living fossil that has survived in Earth’s oceans for over 500 million years. After 12 months gestation, it hatches from an egg, already in a shell with four chambers, like the human heart, and slowly matures over 16 years. It grows a new chamber in its spiraled shell every time its octopus-like body gets bigger. Each chamber is a revolution of the spiral which is a completion of a phase in its evolution. Every chamber evolves within the sacred geometry of the Golden Mean as it spirals from the center outward – just like our own DNA and the very cosmos we live in.
I chose this ancient creature to be the symbol for Somanautiko because of how its spiraled shell invites us to consider the unfolding mysteries of life. The nautilus fills its outgrown chambers with digestive gases and seals them off to use for buoyancy in its daily journey from the depths of the ocean to the surface to feed. Refueled, it makes the return trip down to the depths to rest and digest. I chose to invoke the wisdom embodied in this incredible creature because it models how to both dive deep and to keep ourselves light enough to come to the surface to meet what is in front of us.
As Mark Nepo muses in The Book of Awakening, “Can we, in this way, build strong chambers for our traumas: not living there, but breaking our past down till it is fluid enough to lose most of its weight? Can we internalize where we’ve been enough to know that we are no longer living there? When we can, life will seem lighter. “ I believe that the human experience and the human heart, like the nautilus shell, is an ever-growing spiral that allows us to build on our past experiences to meet, love, and grow with the demands of the present moment.

Somanautiko begins with this truth: Every part of who we are, every cell in our bodies, has an innate desire to be healthy and thrive. We all want to feel our best, so we can enjoy our chosen lives.
We feel our best when there’s a sense of ease and flow. Yet, we all get snagged by obstacles or sucked into quicksand as we navigate the river of life.
In my experience, people like to do as much as they can for themselves in their quest to be healthy and whole. This is why I offer guidance to people of all ages who seek the source of any stickiness that interferes with their sense of well-being or their connections to the world around them.
Somanautiko is a new paradigm of healthcare. It is consciousness itself; a way of being in a moving, breathing, sensing, body and mind. Somanautiko is an approach that helps anyone who is ready to fully embody their truth and personal power.
Somanautiko evolved through decades of my personal inquiry, interdisciplinary studies, experiential learning, and international travel.
We grow our bodies through play – exploration and discovery – starting in the womb. I think of play as our divine work; how we embody our life’s purpose. This deep form of play is what connects us to a sense of wholeness and inner knowing.
As we grow older, our life force becomes limited by patterns, habits, and external expectations. This hinders our ability to be curious and open to exploring new experiences.
By becoming curious about what is not working, what is not moving, I help people listen to their bodies’ wisdom to reveal the underlying source of the blockage. I then offer guidance and tools to help them resolve the blockages themselves enabling them to return to a state of flow which is the essential element of all healthy systems.
I am an embodiment guide who empowers people to inhabit their bodies as living, moving temples of natural intelligence. Together, we explore what it means to live in connection with the internal resources of our body and then external resources of our physical environment and social relationships.
