Cultivating Resilience: A Toolkit for Moving with Change

A Continuum Training with Sharon Weil and Megan Bathory-Peeler
Change is happening all the time. Gradual or imperceptible – or sudden and radical. People’s challenge with change is often a response to the speed of change as much as the change itself. Our ability to respond with resilience has everything to do with how well we accept and move with existing change – both changes that we initiate and changes that come upon us.
- Living with Uncertainty
- Loss
- Injury or illness
- Aging
- Transitions
- Sudden or traumatic events
- Chronic stress
- Transformational growth
How do we cultivate resilience? By developing personal practices that allow us to be adaptive, reorient, and thrive while moving with change.
To build a fluid strength for meeting change, we need to physically and mentally train by establishing a practice of skill-building rehearsals so that these skills become available when life suddenly calls upon us to respond to change and reorient at a moment’s notice. Presented in a series of classes, accessible to every body, Cultivating Resilience provides simple tools for moving adeptly with change and support for embodying them in a daily practice.
Personally adept at navigating loss, Sharon and Megan are also expert facilitators of the pioneering somatic inquiry practice of Continuum. Their training offers a multifaceted spectrum of awareness explorations, which include sounding, breathing, wave motion, and micro movements to cultivate resilience. Continuum opens us to an innate fluid intelligence that knows how to dissolve, re-form, heal, and innovate. Essential skills for the 21st century, accessible to every body.
