Frequently Asked Questions

How do I begin?
Right here. Getting started is easy: Use the contact form so we can arrange a free 10-15 minute phone consultation. This way you and I can become acquainted, and make sure the Somanautiko approach is the best fit for what you, or your child, need and are ready to explore.

How do I make an appointment?
When you sense it is a good enough fit to schedule an appointment, the next step is to phone and arrange an initial intake visit with me. Then, once you are an existing client, you can schedule directly with me at the end of your session or by phone or email.

You can call me directly at 413.772.0078.

What do I need to know in advance?
You don’t need to know anything at all. If you bring your curiosity and an open mind, and you’ll be all set. Please wear comfortable clothing that you feel most at ease in.

Be aware that you are financially responsible for missed appointments or any cancellations made without giving as at least 24 hours. Exceptions made in cases of extreme weather or sudden illness.

What are your fees?
My fees are:

  • $150 for Initial Intake session of 75 minutes for all clients – Individuals, Children & Families
  • $150 Welcoming Newborns Evaluation & Treatment (home visits are possible with additional travel charges)
  • $120 per hour for on-going treatment sessions (after initial intake)

No one will be denied access to care because of inability to pay the full rate. Because some people can pay the full rate, there are scholarships available for those who cannot. Please ask and we can work out a payment plan or negotiate a rate that is most comfortable for you and your family.

Payments can be made with cash, personal check, online via Venmo, or credit card via invoice.

What happens if I cancel at the last minute?

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment. All appointments canceled without as close to 24 hours’ notice will be billed the full appointment fee. Exceptions made in cases of extreme weather, emergency, or sudden illness.

Do you take insurance?

No, I have not had success working with insurance companies except in the case of car accidents. I can provide you with a receipt if you want file for out-of-network reimbursement–and I do take HSA card payments via invoice.

Do you do intensive treatment plans or other special plans?

Absolutely–just ask, and we can work out a treatment plan that’s the best fit for you, your family, or your child.

Do you have gift certificates?
Yes! Please contact me by phone (413.772.0078) or email to make arrangements for payment and where you would like me to mail the gift certificate – to you or directly to the lucky recipient.
